Despite Mr. Willingham spending considerable time trying to communicate with Mr. Cubias through the firm's Spanish translator, Mr. Cubias did not seem to grasp the concepts in his case, and he was extremely rude.  He was very intoxicated when arrested and was found with multiple open containers inside his vehicle, as shown in public records. Ultimately, Mr. Cubias chose to hire a different attorney and pled guilty to DUI and Open Container and accepted the exact same sentence Mr. Willingham had negotiated for him.
