First, let me apologize for the confusion. For most of the last ten to fifteen years, we have had offices in both Olympia and Tacoma, as well as in Seattle, Bellevue, and Everett. We are one of the largest and most established bankruptcy firms here in Western Washington based on total filings over the last ten years.
But, we recently had some issues with our Olympia offices space. And, for a period, we were not meeting with potential any new clients there. I am happy to report, however, that recently secured new office space.

So, we still have offices in Olympia. But, the simple truth is that over the last three or four years, bankruptcies throughout Washington State have continued to be on be on a steady decline, and this is especially true throughout Thurston County.
It's great that our economy is doing well again and that people who own homes are no longer under water. But, it has presented some significant challenges for bankruptcy firms such as our that are in this practice area for the long haul. Unlike a lot of \"fly by night\" firms that advertised themselves as \"experienced bankruptcy lawyers\" during the bankruptcy boom between 2008 and 2014, Olympia Bankruptcy Lawyers is in it for the long haul. Unfortunately, however, this means making adjustments from time regarding our staffing and our availability.
As a result this latest economic renaissance, we have scaled back our debt relief staff dramatically over the last few years. This has made it more challenging to regular meet with clients at all of our offices, but especially at our Olympia offices since Thurston County bankruptcies are way down since the peak of the recession from 2010 to 2012. But, we know that many people in Olympia and throughout Thurston county are still hurting and suffering from a variety of financial ills. So, we made a decision to scale-back our Olympia presence while also remaining committed to serving Olympia.
Again, we do have new offices in Olympia and do meet with potential bankruptcy clients in Thurston County. But, in order to meet with us as quickly as possible, most of our Thurston County clients are happy to drive to Tacoma to meet with us, especially since this where their bankruptcy petition will actually be filed and where they will appear in court at their 341 Hearing.
But, again, since we have been forced cut our bankruptcy staff back in order to keep our fees low for our clients, we have been asking many Thurston County clients whether it would be possible for them to meet with us in Tacoma. There has also obviously been some confusion internally at our offices regarding scheduling potential new clients like you. And, for that, I really apologize for the confusion.
We typically only have a few days a month where we meet with bankruptcy clients in Olympia, and our staff should have offered you one of these dates, but it may have been so far out that they were just confused. Again, please accept my sincere apologies for the confusion. And, I hope that you were able to get the help you need brother.
