We were told “no, you don’t want to do that.” When the opposing party launched a campaign of shame-based filings, distortions, and unfounded allegations, and strategically got a GAL assigned, there was no defense mounted—no preparation, no coaching, no warning. Just: “Well… did you do it?”\n\nWorse still, Mr. Murphy stood by while I was removed from my home—twice—and ultimately jailed over a deceptive technicality buried in a temporary protection order. No one was in harm’s way. It was a manipulative tactic, set up by the other party and the GAL, and our attorney said nothing.\n\nNo objection. No guidance. No support.\n\nWe weren’t just clients—we were a family in crisis. And I, as a longtime stepmother who had raised this child for years, was told not to contact the office.
