I was hopeful that my mother's case would be heard after suffering a severe spinal injury.\n\nBut the intake call was extremely disappointing after they refused to speak to me on my mother's behalf as her caregiver. My mother is legally disabled and has trouble gathering her thoughts and communicating at times due to her condition.\n\nTo have the representative (after she relayed the request to her manager) tell my mother they can't speak to me after she made her disability clear to them is frustrating and disheartening. This was refusing a very reasonable accomodation.
