Unfortunately, I have experience with the law, and haven’t always been on the right side.  If you have been arrested, you’re crazy to use the PD, who is hard enough to get a hold of, much less a call back.  That’ll make you feel real confident.  Good luck representing yourself, might as well get your affairs in order as the court will think you’ll invest in partying, but brush off investing in your freedom.  So now you’re stuck paying for a lawyer.  Well, it would be great if you found one that 1) has a great locally known reputation 2) is affordable and won’t string things out to make extra money  3) wins.\nIt was obvious from the interaction that Mr. Verburgt had with the DA and the judge, that he is liked and respected by the court.  He was honest, respectful, organized, and knows what he is doing.  Everyone I know was sure I was in trouble.  I never plead guilty, or no contest, and the case is closed.  I can’t say enough great things about this lawyer and yes, people make lawyer jokes, but I don’t have any.  This guy saved my ass and I would easily recommend him to best friends and family.  I do not know him personally and have no incentive to write this besides being so glad I picked him.  Hopefully, if you have to make the same tough choice, it won’t be tough, and you can look no further.  This person is the real deal.
