Khalidi of Khalidi Law Firm, PLLC is my neighbor and was recommended to me by a lawyer friend in September of 2021.  I found Mr. Khalidi to be duplicitous, perfidious, unorganized and lacking knowledge of the financial aspects required in dividing community property.  My goal was to settle as quickly as possible, Mr. Khalidi and Mr. Lewis III made this process very difficult for the petitioner and the respondent.\n\nMr. Khalidi and the opposing council Mr. Robert Lewis III erroneously tried to utilize 2005 superseded case law Biddulph v. Biddulph (1985) to massively overvalue community property in favor of the petitioner.\n\nI requested a financial audit early on in the process, approximately October of 2021, Both parties finally agreed to a CPA audit that started in January of 2023.  The CPA audit revealed that not only were my financial calculations correct my valuation of properties, in accordance with ARS 25-318 section B, were also correct and both lawyers valuations incorrect.  In the end both lawyers capitulated to my financial valuations of property and financial audit.  I provided Mr. Khalidi with Arizona Revised Statute evidence related to property valuations and expert witnesses who utilized the same ARS evidence, which he dismissed.  I also tried to hire a different attorney, but Mr. Khalidis peers refused to take over my case or were busy and the Judge refused to extend the proceedings and allow me to hire a competent lawyer.\n\nI have subsequently spoken to neighbors who have hired Mr. Khalidi, and were not pleased with Mr. Khalidis performance and one identified Mr. Khalidi's lack understanding of financial issues relative to their case.\n\nI filed an appeal File #23-2483 with the AZ Bar, and a fee arbitration (FA-24-0027) against Mr. Khalidi (you can read the complaint which has evidence). Look no further!!!\nI can say without hesitation or reservation you cannot go wrong with Thabet Khalidi.  Hands down the best attorney I have ever known or worked with.\n\nI am a Viet Nam Combat veteran, self-employed most of my life, absent business only for my military service.  I have never had anyone more willing to go above and beyond the call to duty as Thabet did in my case.  (that is without risking life and limb).\n\nMy case started with a federal tort action for medical malpractice against the VA.  I searched for more than a year for a lawyer willing to take on the VA in a Federal Tort Action.  I was turned away by many saying they did not think I could win.  Finally found an attorney in the DC area that stepped up.   1st tort action, hard fought but we lost.  We filed an appeal, lost again.  After losing a Federal Tort Action and appeal, you can sue the Federal Government in civil court, however, Federal Tort Action rules apply.  I believe this is the reason that many firms were reluctant to take on my case, so I filed the suit myself.  I had fought the good fight for six years and lost but I was not ready to quit.\n\nI filed the suit and all required documents Pro Se representing myself.  I sure do not recommend that.  Soon I am in desperate need of legal advice and representation.  I am so grateful to Honorable David Bury, United States District Judge who asked if I would mind if he tried to find me an attorney to take on my case.  WOW, did I mind, no way!  I really appreciated the thought however I gave it little chance of success; after all I was willing to pay and had no success in finding a lawyer.  Soon after I received a call from an amazing, down to earth human being, who offered me an opportunity that every other lawyer I approached denied.  That amazing human being was Mr. Thabet Khalidi.  Thabet reviewed the case and discussed it at length with me.  I told him that several firms professing to be malpractice experts deemed a successful outcome highly unlikely, yet Thabet decided to take my case.  That was the beginning of the end of this six yearlong battle.  The ending, a very nice settlement from the Government.  Just as important, Thabet proved the standard of care I received was inadequate.  I have to live with the results for the rest of my life, hopefully these results will be helpful in preventing someone else’s pain and suffering.\n\nThabet was unflappable, passionately tenacious and industriously creative with pure integrity and respect for how law should be practiced.
