Effective legal representation, especially in a corporate context, requires collaboration with the client (us) and alignment with their objectives. This did not occur.\n\nFurthermore, at no point was the attorney instructed to independently represent or speak on behalf of our clients without coordination. In corporate law, unilateral representation without alignment or authorization is a significant red flag and a clear breach of best practices. In hindsight, this should have been recognized as an early indication that the attorney was ill-prepared to serve as counsel for our matters. Taken together, these issues reflected a pattern of inadequate preparation, poor courtroom advocacy, lack of strategic collaboration, and delayed execution. Unfortunately, the level of representation provided did not meet the professional standards expected for our clients or our company. After the first case, I wanted my retainer reimbursed for the case not yet heard by the judge, but was denied by Attorney Cuyler and told my retainer would be kept, so I had to proceed with the others.
