Lawyer was notified of my plea deal in the early May of 2025, plea deal was not made known to me until the day of my Jury Trial announcement, felt very pressured and bumrushed on day of JTA to take the deal, afterwards lawyer told me he would’ve like to go to trial and that we had a chance. Walked away from the whole experience like I was just young person being taken advantage of for not knowing the ins and outs of the justice system, after having multiple consultations with other lawyers in the Denton area I have been told while it does seem to be nefarious, I basically have no recourse. I take accountability for not being more level headed in the moment, not standing my ground, and not doing my homework. I was ready and eager to go to trial. I would NEVER pressure a client into taking a deal.My reputation is CLEARLY the opposite, where I am accused by prosecutors of pressuring my clients INTO going to trial. That reputation is why your attorney of record brought me on.  But I do understand that the plea trap system can be very hectic and stressful on clients and in the future I will do my best to communicate offers earlier. However, since you felt it appropriate to give me a bad review, I think it appropriate to respond that publicly available records show that you got a deal that most people would be extremely happy with.
