I hired Sumsion Business Law hoping for professional legal help, but instead I experienced confusion, poor communication, and ultimately felt taken advantage of.\n\nFrom the beginning, my case didn’t seem to be understood. The advice I received — including being told to ask the opposing party for a loan (!!) — made it clear they hadn’t grasped the facts. To put it mildly.\n\nI decided to end the relationship and was told that any unused portion of my retainer would be returned after a final invoice.\n\nBut instead, I received a surprise bill for charges that supposedly exceeded my retainer — which I had been expecting a refund from.\n\nWhen I asked for clarification, I was ignored. They claimed they had no meaningful contact with the other side — yet their advice to me was based on what that attorney supposedly said.\n\nSince then, I’ve seen other recent reviews describing nearly identical experiences: poor communication, being ghosted after payment, and only getting responses once a public review was posted. That tells me this isn’t just bad luck — it looks like a pattern.\n\nI'm disappointed in this service because I had high hopes when they first started helping me, only to see it spiral into miscommunication and now dishonesty in billing extremely excessive amounts.\n\nI’m now pursuing formal complaints.
