A big dog, Tibetan Mastiff, came out of another door on the other side of the fence adjacent to the door I knocked on and came up onto the fence separating us.\n\nI put up my hands and said, \"Chill dog!\" and suddenly a finger on my right hand was gone!\n\nSuffice to say  it was amputated at a hospital in Denver that Sunday afternoon. The dog was impounded for a week.\n\nI spoke with Jennifer, and she informed me that Colorado law is really gray about dog bites.  I might have been trespassing by going to a side door!\n\nShe offered to take the case for 1/3 of the settlement. Two years later, we successfully settled out of court.  Without her help, I would probably not have received anything.\n\nI'm especially grateful for her help in reaching a settlement. The finger is still problematic, but I can't change that. I have never in my life had to beg someone to take my money. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I tried to call back multiple times, and give them time in between to call me back but they didn't want to be bothered, especially when the case has to do with a child being hurt at a daycare and should be taken seriously.
