I was called on the time scheduled and Brandon and I spent most of a half an hour or more in an informative chat. There was ample time in the sell but in-between the information exchanged was engaging and I learned a few things about my plan to file a petition for grandparent visitation pro se. Brandon strongly recommended against going pro se and gave me the firm's retainer and hourly fees to consider. I tried to pin down an upper limit on what I might expect in total costs (this is not a divorce case and I had already accomplished considerable documentation on my own). I would have appreciated a bit more interest in the helping me with a case then for them to start from scratch (at a lower up-front cost) but didn't get that. I have read that some law firms will assist in the process).
