My son has yet to meet with his attorney to discuss his case, and despite one brief conversation, there has been no follow-up or support.\n\nTo make matters worse, the lawyer did not appear in court, resulting in my son's court date being postponed. The only explanation I received was that he was waiting for additional evidence, yet it seems there has been no review of the current discovery packet.\n\nWith an upcoming court case this week, I am increasingly anxious about the lack of preparation and communication. It feels as though my son's future is not being prioritized, and I can't help but feel disappointed by the level of care provided. Given the circumstances, I believe a public defender may have offered a more attentive response.\n\nI understand that law firms can become overwhelmed, but taking on more cases than one can handle is a disservice to clients.
