He hired them so they can represent them and go in his place instead of him going to court . The lawyer then proceeded to tell him that he had to come with him , when they got there the lawyer told him to sit down and wait for him , just for my step dad to sit down and wait for him to come out since he was the one who actually went in court. He made my step dad go to court when he didn’t have to bc that’s why he hired them . Then the lawyer proceeded to ask my step dad for a cigarette and my step dad went to his car to get him one , once he was about to turn around ICE was behind him , and you know what the lawyer did to help him NOTHINGGG . My step dads brother then proceeded to call the lawyer and the lawyer told him that my step dad didn’t pay him and that he needed to get payed , so the brother called my step dad and told him what was happening, and my step dad told him that he DID pay . The brother then called the lawyer and told him that HE DID INFACT pay , and then he basically said how he didn’t say that and stuff . The lawyer set my step dad up to get deported. He was obligated to come to court or there would have been another order issued for his arrest. I received a new court date so we could make plans for the next court appearance. I was escorting him to his car and he bagan to talk to me about another legal problem he had. When we arrived at his car we were detained by at least 3 ICE agents. He gave me the keys to his car and I was able to return his car to his family. I NEVER asked for more money or even mentioned money instead I spoke to his wife and brother on the phone. I asked them to provide me with his “A” number so that we can track his progress through the court system. I learned that he was taken to Massachusetts were he would be held for a bond hearing. I explained to his wife and brother that because of the legal charges he had on file and another legal matter that he was worried could be made against him he would not be given a bond and would be deported to his home country. <br><br>I have picked up every phone call he has made to me from detention, I appeared for him at his next court appearance even though he was still in detention.
