I find it highly unprofessional to give that kind of advice in a first conversation, especially after we had already stated that we did not want to work with the firm. I contacted the office for help with a case, and the lawyer immediately misled me, saying my relative was entitled to bail. As a lawyer, he should know that an arrived alien is not entitled to bail because the judge lacks jurisdiction in their case. Okay, I called the office, and they told me I had to pay to review any documents. Okay, I paid. It's very important to clarify (they require an affidavit of support for bail), and I couldn't obtain it. When I spoke with them to see if there was any possibility of a partial refund, they refused. So, they charged me $1,500 without doing any work.
