The receptionist claimed attorney Moore was “reviewing a file” and couldn’t estimate when he’d be available, dismissing my concerns. The lack of professionalism was staggering, but it was compounded by a far more troubling realization: I felt I was treated differently—judged and dismissed—because of who I am.\n\nLegal professionals are entrusted to guide clients through vulnerable times, offering expertise and empathy. Instead, Moore and Lacey prioritized their tasks over their client’s needs, displaying no regard for my time or emotional well-being. Their dismissive and apparent bias left me feeling unheard and devalued, which is antithetical to the trust and support that should define an attorney-client relationship.\n\nThis experience has led me to distance myself from the firm entirely. He did provide us with some information that was helpful. He seemed to be in over his head with how bankruptcies can affect Medicaid, especially for an elder person. I would think someone who specializes in bankruptcy would be familiar or have the right resources to get the correct information. My main issue is that after the initial consultation, I was completely ghosted. I called 3 times and sent multiple emails and never heard anything back. My sister was in the call and heard something completely different than me. I laid out my interpretation in an email to Mr. Moore. All I was asking for was clarification so we would know how to proceed. Very disappointed after jumping through all the hoops they needed just to get that appointment. I even offered to pay for the additional clarification, as I don’t expect anyone to work for free. Adding that this was almost one year ago. I was hoping eventually someone would respond.
