They requested $4,000. They then proceeded to request $4-5,000 every 2 weeks after that to refill the retainer stating that there was a lot that was getting done. I was desperate to get my divorce case done so I kept paying these fees until it got to 20k and they hadn't even completed the discovery request that was sent. 20k with no court appearance, just most of the discovery being completed. They are now charging me over $2,000 just to have them withdraw from my case. This law firm is extremely shady and the only thing they seem to be effective at is sending bills.
