Direct Contact via Facebook: Before posting his public response, Victor J. Musleh personally contacted me via Facebook, attempting to pressure me to remove my review. He falsely claimed that I never spoke with attorney Kelly Musleh, despite the fact that I did speak directly with Kelly, who dismissed my request for a second opinion after very clearly identifying herself on the phone as KELLY.\n2. Misrepresentation of Ethics Rules: Victor Musleh cited Rule 4-4.2 of the Florida Rules of Professional Conduct to justify refusing my request. This rule is intended to prevent attorneys from interfering with a client’s existing legal representation. However, seeking a second opinion is a lawful right and does not constitute interference. His use of the rule to dismiss me and avoid providing guidance is/was misleading and incorrect.\n3. Pattern of Unprofessional Conduct: His actions — both via private Facebook messages and public reply — constitute an attempt to intimidate and gaslight me into removing a truthful review, while misrepresenting the law and my communications with his firm.\n\nMy review is entirely factual and accurately reflects my experience attempting to obtain guidance from their firm. This update is to correct misrepresentations in Victor Musleh’s response and clarify the truth for anyone reading.\n\n————————————————————————\n\nI recently called Musleh Law Firm seeking a second opinion on my personal injury case. I explained that I already had an attorney but was uncomfortable with how they were handling the case and was looking for a second opinion. I have every right as a client to seek a new attorney if I feel my current one isn’t representing me the way I need.\n\nHowever, instead of listening to my concerns or explaining how they could potentially step in, I was immediately told that they “couldn’t touch the case” if I had signed a contract with another attorney. That statement is not accurate under Florida law. Clients always have the right to terminate representation and hire a new attorney at any time. The original attorney may assert a lien for fees or costs related to the work they’ve already done, but that is handled between the attorneys and comes out of the recovery—not out of the client’s pocket separately.\n\nIt is frustrating to be dismissed so quickly when I was looking for clarity and considering switching firms because I don’t feel protected or properly represented where I am. A more professional and accurate response would have been to explain the process (including how liens work) and give me the information I needed to make an informed decision.\n\nKelly specifically is not a helpful attorney to reach out to if you’re looking for someone to actually help you out of a bad situation with another failing attorney ✨along with✨ a personal injury case.\n\nFor anyone else in my position: don’t let a firm tell you that you are stuck if you’ve signed a contingency fee contract. The Musleh Law Firm places ethics and attorney/client privilege above our personal profit. It appears that you are unhappy with your current “failing” law firm (not us). <br><br>You are correct that you have the absolute right to terminate your current law firm and hire a new one. We never told you otherwise. However, when you contacted our office, you were still represented by another firm. Even in this day and age of cutthroat TV commercials with all the law firms claiming they are the biggest and the best, The Musleh law Firm respects the relationship another attorney has established with his/her client. However, to be extremely clear, you never spoke with Kelly Musleh. You spoke with my assistant whose response was proper and in accordance with the Rules of Professional Conduct. She referred you back to your current lawyer. Kelly Musleh is the most conscientious lawyer I know and cares deeply about our clients. <br><br>Your review is unfair. You are very dissatisfied with your current law firm which you fail to identify in any review, yet you don’t hesitate to disparage our firm (which has never represented you) with a 1-star review. Our only failure was to follow the ethics rules.
