You could hear the car trying to brake, but it ran into me. I had rear-end damage and pain in the back of my head.\n\nI had joined a professional networking group, and thankfully, I met Ian through that group before the accident. As soon as the accident happened, a friend reminded me of Ian. I called him immediately. Ian told me exactly what to do, and that’s where the professional relationship started. His firm really took it from there.\n\nThe accident caused constant soreness in the back of my neck and affected my lower back. It created problems from sitting to sleeping. I had to sleep with a pillow between my legs. I run a residential and commercial lending company so I travel a lot. Traveling with back and neck pain is hard, especially long drives and flying, so some business trips were missed.\n\nI’ve been in accidents before, but the process with Miller Trial Law was on another level of professionalism and care. Ian was more like a case caretaker. He checked in often—asking about my sessions with the chiropractor. That was different from other attorneys I’ve dealt with before.  Ian is a relationship person first. He cares about his clients. You can tell you’re not just a number. I was always updated on what was going on. His staff is knowledgeable, and he knows his craft. There’s also a human side to how he works.\n\nThey settled the case to a point where I was satisfied. Ian wasn’t pushy about settling. He said, ‘If you have patience, we can get you exactly what you’re looking for.’ That’s what we did.\n\nThe person who hit me didn’t have enough insurance to cover my medical bills. Fortunately, I had uninsured motorist coverage because someone in the networking group had reviewed my policy previously. Before that, I thought I had full coverage, but I didn’t. Thankfully, I updated it just two months before the accident and the uninsured motorist coverage came through.\n\nThe settlement helped with backed-up bills, missed business trips, and things I wanted to implement in my business. When you're in pain, you miss opportunities. I was able to invest in my health and my business.\n\nIf someone is in a similar situation, my advice is: understand that if you hire Ian and his team, you're going to feel like you're speaking to someone who’s real. He doesn’t just see dollar signs. He helps you feel better, get better, and he emotionally supports you. He knows what your case is worth and how to explain your situation so that the insurance company doesn’t just make a low offer to move you off their list.\n\nI want to thank them for helping me through what I went through and getting the case settled. I recommend anyone out there—even if you don’t know what kind of case you have—get a free consultation with Ian.\n\nWithout a doubt, everyone should have UM coverage. I’ve been in Florida since 1989.
