The case number is 2023 CT 920.  From the first time we spoke, and you retained my services, everything out of your mouth was an utter lie.  You initially told me you never had a DUI and this was a first offense.  Only after I made efforts to help you obtain a hardship driver's license by contacting DHSMV did I learn you have at least four prior DUI's on your record.  The State Attorney's Office also made me aware of your criminal driving history.  I telephoned you to discuss this, and you told me it wasn't important that I knew about the prior DUI's, so you intentionally concealed this information from me.<br><br>You refused to come to my office to discuss the facts of your case, but absolutely insisted on going to trial instead of listening to my advice.  The reason why you lost at trial was due to a number of reasons.  First, the police video recorded the entire encounter lasting approximately an hour.  The video had you passed out in the McDonald's drive thru on SR 70 at 2am, with the engine running and the radio blaring.  Second, once the initial responding deputy woke you up, you created a hostile interaction between the four other responding police officers.  This was all captured on each of their body cameras.  Third, your behavior in the courtroom was simply bizarre.  You would not verbally respond to the judge when he asked you a question.  It was obvious the jury strongly disliked you.  Quite honestly, you're an angry man with a chip on his shoulder.
