I had not been contacted yet so I called just now, 10/3/2024, 10:51 am, to inquire.  The person who answered the phone was polite & professional, taking the information required initially.  I was then transferred me to an Attorney and the interaction immediately went downhill.\n\nThe Attorney spoke very fast and I could not hear what was being said very well, as I was hearing background noise initially.  The noise subsided and I was finally able to hear clearly.  The questions were being very fast and assumptions were made immediately, before I had even finished answering the questions.  I finally had enough, stated what I had to about the condition of my Father, who has cancer due to Agent Orange exposure, and other service-related medical issues.  The Attorney stated the firm is very selective and restrictive about who is accepted as a client.  I replied that was fine because I had just decided a working relationship with them was not going to work.  The Attorney responded \"ok\" and abruptly hung up.\n\nI am looking for a law firm that will take the time to listen, explain the VA disability process, and provide guidance as needed to help respond to VA disability claim denials. When the attorney spoke to you and asked to speak to your father, you refused. Because he was the potential adult client, we needed his consent before speaking with you. When attorney asked questions, you kept cutting her off because you wanted to control the conversation and got upset and irritated when the attorney asked questions. Eventually, when you didn't get your way, you said you would call someone else and hung up and then went online to do this negative review. We are sorry about your experience but we are not able to take a client to can't talk to us a give us permission to speak to you due to our ethical duties. Had you called for a minor, it would be different and we would be able to talk to the parent. We've handled over 40,000 cases in almost 60 years combined attorneys' experience. We take our professional and ethical duties seriously, and that's why we've never had any issues with the state bar. We are sorry that you got frustrated that we asked to speak with your dad, the potential client, before we could speak to you. Also, the majority of our caseload are Social Security Disability/SSI cases. We are very selective with VA cases because we generally just due VA representation for our current SSDIB/SSI clients who are also Veterans. We also want to have a good fit with our VA clients because it could take a handful or more years to get through and seeing how you were already dictating how you wanted things to go, the attorney sensed how the relationship was going to be like off the bat. You wanted wanted things your way and didn't want to listen to our protocols or legal advice. We were just not going to be a good fit. Plus you were unwilling to let us talk to your dad, who was going to be the real client. Our firm strives to serve those in need for a number of decades. Clients have been grateful and happy with our services. I am sorry l that we were just not a good fit from the start.
