My thought was that the case would be quick and painless, since the driver owned up to being responsible. However, the insurance company of the at fault driver was adamant I was 20% responsible. The company was shady, I had a number of verbal arguements with adjusters, being told I had to settle for $2,000 for damages and medical. I walked away from the accident with terrible pain in my back and right leg. I was very confused by the process, and the insistence that I had to walk away with nothing or just take the offer I had while my work suffered and my vehicle remained damaged. Brian was recommended to me by a volunteer at work, and stepped in to handle the INCREDIBLE hassle this company was trying to do. He advocated for every issue that arose directly with the company, and emphasized to me that I needed to prioritize my health and mobility. He was also incredibly patient with my needs and requests. Some of the best advice he gave was “sometimes you don’t remember a fine detail, and it’s OK to say you don’t remember.” Insurance company attorneys are known for trying to bully people and confuse them into making statements that may not be accurate. sure, enough, in the deposition, I was asked multiple questions that had I not receive this advice. I probably would have tried to answer.
