My time and advice are my stock in trade. When I didn’t charge a consultation fee, people would often not show up and so when they pay, they honor the appointment.<br><br>Secondly, in the criminal courts, lawyers are often moving between courts as the judges set their hearings at the same time. It is false that I didn’t “show up.” I am known for being respectful of court settings and when lawyers “don’t show up” they can be held in contempt. <br>As for telling the client to sign, that also never happened. Why? Bc I NEVER tell my clients to sign. What I do do is convey any offer the State has made. Why? Bc I HAVE to convey the offer, per the rules.<br>When clients can’t bond out, as was the case in your case, they get antsy.
