She prepared all the necessary legal documents (such as his will, health care proxy, and power of attorney) for a reasonable fee. She also handled the closing on our family’s old home, also at a fair rate.\n\nMy earlier negative review was based on a misunderstanding caused by a former employee of Ms. Toombs, named Pat, who contacted our family after leaving the office. Unfortunately, we trusted her and allowed her to take over POA responsibilities, but in hindsight, we felt this was a mistake and deeply regretted not staying with Ms. Toombs from the start. That situation caused a lot of confusion and stress for our family.\n\nWe’re grateful that Ms. Toombs was professional and understanding when I contacted her to straighten things out. Overall, she was a good elder care attorney for our family. Since English is not my mother's first language and father had done everything for her (so she had a big learning curve), I help support her in communication and decision-making.
