In fact, I provided him with supporting arguments to present to the prosecutor. As a result of the agreement reached with the prosecutor, I was not required to fully comply with the court’s order. At that time, I was advised that if the case proceeded to trial, there was an 80% likelihood of success. However, after working with the attorney for two weeks, I lost confidence in his commitment to effectively advocate on my behalf, which led to my decision not to proceed to trial. I filed a Motion to Modify Conditions of Release to return to the residence promptly and followed up with the State to get a \"no objection\" and a signed order from the judge as fast as possible.  I know that you were extremely eager to simply return to the residence and I  advised you many times not to do so until a judge signed an order modifying the release conditions.  I know that that was frustrating but it was the correct thing to do to protect you from another criminal charge.  We reviewed the evidence on multiple occasions and you wanted a guaranteed dismissal because you absolutely could not have a criminal conviction on your record.  No attorney can guarantee 100% what a judge will do at a trial.  I thought that we could win but I was not confident to the point of 100% certainty.  You took one class, the case was dismissed, and I sealed the record.  I genuinely thought that you were pleased with the outcome.  You even reached out for advice afterwards regarding a question about a job.
