Instead, she advised her daughter to take my children out of state without my knowledge or consent, cutting me off from the kids I love dearly.\n\nSince August, I have tried relentlessly to reach out, hoping to speak with my children, only to be ignored. Lanell has never answered my calls, and her husband, Mark, dismissively told me that my children weren’t with him and that I’d have to ‘find them myself.’ As a father, it’s painful beyond words to be kept away from my kids, especially during a time of mourning after losing my mother.\n\nI would never have expected such treatment from a family member, let alone someone sworn to uphold ethical standards. This review reflects my personal experience as a father and family member of Lanell Williams-Yulee, whom I believe has acted in a way unbecoming of an attorney, especially given her influence over sensitive family matters.\n\nWhile I acknowledge there was no formal attorney-client relationship, her guidance has, in my view, directly interfered with my relationship with my children and contributed to a lack of communication and transparency around their well-being. As a licensed attorney, Lanell has an ethical duty that extends beyond formal representation.
