I genuinely feel for judges; they don’t know the people standing in front of them, and it’s easy to see how one could get swept up in the emotional drama. At one point, it felt like the judge was leaning into the gaslighting and theatrics of the other side.\n\nBut Mr. Kern calmly and firmly brought the courtroom back to reality.
