She arrived approximately 25 minutes late to the appointment and did not apologize or acknowledge the delay, despite having previously told my mother that if she herself was not present exactly at 9:00 AM, there would be nothing she could do for her. This set an unprofessional tone from the start.\n\nUpon entering the room, the first thing the attorney said was, “Who is this?” in reference to me, rather than greeting us or introducing herself. No effort was made to create a welcoming or professional environment.\n\nWhen my mother expressed discomfort that no apology was given for the lateness, the attorney responded dismissively and told her that she could leave if she did not like it, stating that she had “come out of her way to help,” despite the fact that my mother was paying a $500 consultation fee.\n\nOverall, this interaction was disrespectful, dismissive, and far below the standard of professionalism expected from someone in this field.
