We’ve had to send multiple emails just to get a response, and calls and voicemails often go unanswered. Going through bankruptcy is already stressful, and the lack of communication has made the process even more difficult than it needed to be.\n\nEven now that the case has been discharged, we are still waiting for our final discharge paperwork and have had difficulty getting responses from the office about it. The chapter 7 process takes about 3 and a half months and most of the work and communication occurs before the case is even filed.  Once it is filed, there is a lot of waiting and not much is happening.<br><br>I understand that you would like regular updates, but during the bankruptcy process there are months where nothing is happening and so there is nothing to update you on.  It isn't that we aren't communicating important information.  There is just nothing to report while we wait for the judge to sign the discharge order.<br><br>You should receive your discharge order sixty to seventy-five days after your meeting with the trustee.  Once it is signed, we will send you an email letting you know that it has been signed by the judge and information on improving your credit score after receiving a discharge. You called our office, someone realized you called and didn't answer quick enough and missed your call, so they immediately called you back.  You are upset that they didn't listen to your voicemail before calling you back.<br><br>We, like many law firms use voice IP phones.  Messages left as voicemail are emailed to us by the phone provider.  Sometimes those emails take a few minutes to arrive, so if we called you back in 3 minutes, we probably called you before receiving your voicemail.<br><br>I am sorry you are upset that we immediately called you back.  Most of our clients are happy to receive a prompt return phone call.
