The same message lists whistleblower and False Claims Act cases as a firm practice area—the exact type of case I presented—yet my case was rejected as “not in scope.”\n\nOn Sunday, October 19, 2025, at approximately 8:30 a.m. PT, Ms. Ingrid Evans personally called me from a private number to pressure me to remove this truthful review and to “apologize” for her paralegal’s mistake. This was unsolicited, outside business hours, and followed a written declination, meaning no attorney-client relationship existed.\n\nUnder the California Rules of Professional Conduct, this conduct raises multiple concerns:\n\nRule 7.1 – Misleading Communications About Legal Services: advertising FCA/whistleblower expertise while refusing a qualifying case.\n\nRule 7.3 – Direct Contact with Prospective Clients: intrusive, private-number call to a non-client constitutes improper solicitation.\n\nRule 8.4(d) – Conduct Prejudicial to the Administration of Justice: using concealed contact to influence or intimidate a reviewer undermines public trust.\nThis behavior also falls under harassment and potential retaliation prohibited by the Consumer Review Fairness Act (15 U.S.C. § 45b), which protects consumers’ right to post honest feedback.\n\nI have preserved the call log, screenshots, and the declination email as evidence. When my siblings and I were faced with elder financial fraud and abuse by our grandfather’s caregiver after he had passed, we were angry, hurt, and most of all, lost as to what to do next.
