Her medical assistant administered the vaccine injection in my upper left shoulder. The injection was the most painful I had ever received — it took my breath away and I almost passed out. I knew something was very wrong and unfortunately, it never stopped hurting.\n\nMy PCP did not take any responsibility for the situation so I decided to see a shoulder specialist. He ordered an MRI and it showed a significant amount of fluid in the joint. The vaccine was injected into my joint instead of the muscle. A month later I had surgery to drain the excessive fluid and clean up my shoulder. After months of PT and rehab, I still have a painful shoulder.\n\nI did find a medical malpractice attorney who was ready to take the case, but then I found out about the Vaccine Injury Program which led me to Drew.\n\nDrew and team were very knowledgeable and responsive, and they facilitated an excellent outcome.
