So we should have went to trial or asked the judge to drop the charge to a neg 1!!! Do not recommend her for dui charges. Second DUIs can be complicated with regard to licensing and ignition interlock consequences and requirements.  The Dept. of Licensing sometimes handles old prior convictions differently than newer ones when imposing ignition interlock requirements.  The Dept. of Licensing is an independent agency and makes administrative decisions based on convictions or other circumstances.  We always advise clients as to the possible scenarios and refer clients directly to the Department of Licensing to understand the actions the Department may take post-conviction.<br><br>Anytime a real chance exists for getting a charge reduced to negligent driving in the first degree, you can bet that we will fight for that result.  At the Dalton Law Office, PLLC, we obtain numerous reductions and dismissals of DUI charges.  Sometimes people make big mistakes in their lives and, though we can lessen the impacts and guide them through the process, it is not always possible to work against reality and obtain results that don't fit the facts, particularly in the absence of officer mistakes or technicalities.  Sometimes the officers involved are thorough and make their case strong and complete so that the risk of losing after trial may be greater than the client wants to accept.<br><br>The process can be overwhelming for some and people don't always absorb or remember all the details about the ramifications of their choices.
