When Susan was about to move from NY to FL I went with her to see her social worker regarding the “transfer” of her Medicaid benefits (LOL).  The social worker told me that all I had to do was call the Florida Medicaid office, tell them that Susan had moved and give them her NY Medicaid information.  Boy was she wrong!  Paul wound up doing a google search for a Medicaid attorney near Deerfield Beach – being in NJ we had NOTHING to go on but faith.  I thank my lucky stars that Elder Law was the only firm he called.
