McDonald’s had a clear deadline of March 1, 2025 to respond. That deadline passed without a response. Instead, an extension was later granted moving the deadline to April 11, 2025, despite the fact that I did not authorize or consent to any extension, which unnecessarily delayed the case.\nSince then, settlement negotiations have stalled, even though McDonald’s previously made an $7,000 settlement offer. From my perspective, progress stopped once delays were introduced, and the strategy shifted to prolonging litigation rather than resolving it.\nFor an individual litigant facing a large corporate defense, this type of delay tactic is exhausting and damaging. Deadlines matter. Consent matters. Good-faith negotiation matters.\nIf you are dealing with this attorney, do not assume timelines will be honored, insist on everything in writing, and monitor every deadline yourself. She failed to provide the paperwork required by New York State law, did not respond to emails in a timely manner, and when she did, her responses were filled with excuses. She told me to come in at my convenience, and when I provided a time and day, both she and her assistant Susan ignored my emails. As a single mother who works full time and attends school full time, it is extremely difficult for me to take time off, and when I finally did, she ignored me.\n\nAll I wanted was a copy of a will that I am legally entitled to, but she refused to provide it. Meaghan Murphy is rude, condescending, unethical, and malicious. She speaks to clients as if they are stupid. I just needed the paperwork to ensure my daughter's future is secure, but she made it incredibly difficult. Mind you as of today Thursday June 27, 2024 I have not received any paper work.\n\nIf you are looking for a lawyer, look elsewhere. I have filed a formal complaint with the grievance committee and will be filing more complaints against her. She is extremely unprofessional and clearly does not care about the well-being of an 18-month-old child.
