The attorney should be bound to a higher level of responsibility and confidentiality because of their licensing. The claims she makes against me in her post are incorrect.  She voluntarily signed an agreement that does not include any confidentiality clause.  It does, however, include a release of all claims against my clients and an express clause barring her from making defamatory statements.  Unfortunately, she chose to violate that agreement by posting false allegations online, which led a third party to publish her own defamatory comments.  Under the Texas Defamation Mitigation Act, I was required to send both of them formal requests for retraction.  Texas law required the requests to specify the circumstances causing various statements made to be defamatory.  In short, the language this person is now complaining about being disclosed to the third party was legally required — not optional — and was sent only to the third party for the sole purpose of complying with Texas law.
